Welcome to Kid Tech Camps
Kid Tech Camps whole-heartedly supports the expansion of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in our elementary schools by offering technology day camps that center amazing projects using iPods and iPads. Which is why we are pleased to announce that we have joined with Science Matters to offer amazing after-school tech camps starting the fall of 2012.
Kid Tech Camps are not only centered on teaching students in grades 3, 4, and 5 the 21st century tech skills that they will need to be successful in middle and high school but we also want to get students interested in the tech-centered careers of the future. Students learn to use their own iPods or iPads as tools that allow the create amazing projects. We keep our class sizes small so that students can get the most from these lessons.
Owning Tech Does Not Equal Knowing How to Use It
Research has shown that just because students own and use tech devices like iPod and iPads doesn't mean that they know how to use them for much more than just playing games, listening to music or watching videos. With Kid Tech Camps we show students how to do incredible things with these devices. We show step-by-step how to use apps to create digital artifacts that prove that they have 21st century skills. Each of our projects also tie back to how these new tech-skills can be applied to school projects that they do, projects that will blow their teacher's minds!
